Dr. Sameer Kushwaha is a cardiologist with a broad clinical focus encompassing the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease, from preventative care to advanced diagnostic imaging to cardiac intensive care. He completed his Bachelor’s of Science (B.Sc.) at McGill University. Subsequently, He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Toronto, where he also completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He completed his Fellowship in Advanced Echocardiography at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario and is board-certified in Nuclear Cardiology. During his Fellowship training, he completed a certificate program in Global Health at the University of Toronto.
His primary inpatient cardiology practice is at Michael Garron Hospital in East York, Toronto, Ontario.
Dr. Kushwaha is interested in global public health and health equity, with a commitment to improving access to high-quality cardiovascular care in underserved populations. His research has been published in leading peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at international medical conferences.
